files per directory limitation

hi,

i've been looking over coda as a means to setup 2 geographically
separated servers that can failover for each other, and even remain in
operation and recover in the event of temporarily losing their
interconnection. coda looks mostly robust, however

the files per directory limitation looks like the fly in the ointment.
any more recent rumblings around that?

thank you,
greg
