No, this is not correct. The cloned/restored volumes are considered
readonly and will internally update a single dataversion stamp instead
of the version vector and they won't log operations for resolution.
(readonly volumes believe they will never be updated, only replaced by
another backup or restored volume)

Some of the visible effects are, they don't generate callbacks and you
are likely to see more conflicts in the volume because server-server
resolution can only handle a few trivial cases.
