Ah yes, configure recognizes my compiler as buggy:
checking if ptr-to-member works... no

I'll try to compile venus with gcc-3.3.1, but before that I'd
like to find a way to reproduce the bug (it didn't occur again).
Can you tell me a way to hit the code in question?
