Hi,

This message is mainly because of curiosity,
and to help finding problems.

We upgraded both clients and server yesterday to 5.3.17,
and we did venus -init to all clients,
for the servers it was something like

	make server-install
	coda.init stop
	coda.init start

We had also recently added another partition /vicepc
to the server, which works fine.

Problem: We have a file created on laptop1:

	ls -l /coda/homes/floemker/usr_rhea.txt
	-rw-r--r-- 1 floemker nogroup 8310678 Nov 16 10:39
				/coda/homes/floemker/usr_rhea.txt

which appears on all other clients as

	ls -l /coda/homes/floemker/usr_rhea.txt
	-rw-r--r-- 1 floemker nogroup 0 Nov 16 10:31
				/coda/homes/floemker/usr_rhea.txt

Times are in sync (ntp) The user has a token everywhere,
and all volumes are Connected:

Laptop1:
	 cfs lv /coda/homes/floemker/
	  Status of volume 0x7f000002 (2130706434) named "coda.homes.floemker"
	  Volume type is ReadWrite
	  Connection State is Connected
Minimum quota is 0, maximum quota is unlimited
	  Current blocks used are 373975
The partition has 566948 blocks available out of 3859048
	  Write-back is disabled

Laptop2:
	cfs lv /coda/homes/floemker/
	  Status of volume 0x7f000002 (2130706434) named "coda.homes.floemker"
	  Volume type is ReadWrite
	  Connection State is Connected
Minimum quota is 0, maximum quota is unlimited
	  Current blocks used are 373975
The partition has 566948 blocks available out of 3859048
	  Write-back is disabled

What else to try ?
Anything I should checks the (server|client) logs for ?

Yours,
Steffen
