I looked at this for quite a while, not understanding.  I thought, "OK,
so it takes a minute on Coda and a minute and 14 seconds on NFS.  Why
is that bad?"

Then I saw it: it said 1:00:55, not 1:00.55.  One hour and fifty-five
seconds.

Wow. :)
