You can't "cut the disk cache" but you could make a small system to
play with.  First I recommend you install the client and play with our 

In installing a server you'll need to choose RVM data and log files.
You can make the log file very small (1MB for example) and the
smallest data file which we have pre configured is 10M.  So with a
total of around 15M available + the space for the Coda packages (which 
are far too large ... ) you should be able to play.
