Ok, the server has trouble reading this file,

At this point it should have logged the partitions it found,

That first line in your vicetab looks strange, maybe the parser simply
aborts because there aren't enough fields, it expects
    "<servername> <partition> <layout> <parameters>"

Remove the line that just says 'ftree width=64,depth=3"
