I would like to see this happen.  One of the reasons I haven't looked at the 
kernel module is my lack of access to OS X in an environment where I can do 
kernel hacking.   Also, all my Coda time has been working on the Win XP 
kernel module.   I have worked with 4 different version of the kernel module,
NetBSD, FreeBSD, Solaris (which needs updating) and Windows NT/2k/xp.

Many of the issues in updating Solaris are the 64 bit issues ... which may be 
similar issues to the OS X stuff.  I'm assuming that the VNODE interface is 
similar to the BSD's and Solaris.

I'll again have between 150 and 250 hours this next summer to work on Coda and 
I'm hoping that XP won't require much more time.  (The current version I'm 
working with continues to trip a ASSERT in the NTFS code.   Other that that 
it is quite stable for me.)
