Sorry to reply to myself, this worked (I think!):
root_at_kryten:~# clog cadmin_at_kryten.localdomain

root_at_kryten:~# ctokens

Tokens held by the Cache Manager:
Local username: root

     @testserver.coda.cs.cmu.edu
         Not Authenticated
     @kryten.localdomain
         Coda user id:    2
         Expiration time: Sat Sep  6 11:39:00 2003

So, it appears I'm logged in to linux as root, but authenticated to coda 
as cadmin - is that how I should see it?
