Interestingly enough, fixing the problem in Venus doesn't help, it looks
like the bug was initially introduced (the mentioned changeset is where
link and target were swapped) in Venus, but it propagated itself from
there to the server when the new CML packing was activated.

In any case when running the patched server it seems to work right with
both old and new clients, although I still don't quite follow how the
obvious venus bug ended up being a server bug.

Btw. I've added some things to the Coda website which have been useful
for me to quickly search where newly reported bugs are introduced.

The old jitterbug bug tracker has been replaced with 'RequestTracker'.
It allows more complex searches and merging of similar/identical
bugreports, or create dependencies between bugs, i.e. fix this bug
before we can work on that bug. All old bugs have been imported and I've
already 'closed' a lot of them as they were already fixed in previous
Coda releases.

We also have 'viewcvs' and 'lxr' which are automatically updated for the
latest CVS version of Coda. There are no links on the main pages to
these yet, didn't really know where to place them ('news/downloads?')
