Coda reliability question

In June 2000 I installed coda on a number of our clients and set up a coda
server (a Linux). It all seemed to work rather nicely until I tested the server
by simply pulling the power cord.

After reboot and a lot of fsck it came up but the coda server just would not

And as far as I could tell I would have to restore the backup in that kind of

So I simply gave up on coda since this is something it just has to handle if we
are to use it.

Is this crash sensitivity still there? Server replication is of course nice, but
it won't help if there is a power outage, since all the servers will be
lost. (UPS:s are nice, but I am not comfortable with them as the last line of
