"Device busy" when unmounting /coda on Linux

I often find out that venus has crashed by doing something like "ls
/coda/Pro" TAB (to get directory completion in bash).

OK, I clean up the daemon, but cannot unmount /coda ... and this is
due to merely typing the "ls" command! umount reports "device busy"
and refuses to do the unmount. Killing the command line with Ctrl-C
releases the resource.

Is there anything Coda can do about this?
