Interesting. I had the same problem with Redhat 6.1 and
Coda 5.3.6. I went back to Coda 5.3.5, because the problem
doesn't occur there. 

By the way, I am using seperate disks for the DATA and
LOG partitions, and for the /vicepa as well.
