That message is OK.  But Coda should now continue to mount!  So you got
very very close to getting it working but not quite there.

You are not doing anything wrong.  You may have a slightly different
kernel.  Get the linux-coda-4.4.0.tgz from /pub/coda/linux/src on 
ftp.coda.cs.cmu.edu and recompile (something like make v21 (read the
makefile)).

You should get a usable kernel module for 2.0.32.

We haven't gotten RH 5.1 yet, but I don't think it matters -- of course we
will do that pretty soon.
